In a recent blog by Glassdoor, Tarmac was listed alongside organisations such as Arup, Shop Direct and Uber for having scored an overall rating of 4.0 or greater – well above the average score of 3.4.

Tarmac was named in the UK’s top eight companies after achieving 4.3 for its commitment to ensuring that workers are happy in the business.

Tarmac, HR director, Graeme Boylen, human resources director, said: “It is heartening to see so many of Tarmac’s former and existing employees leaving such glowing reviews on Glassdoor. However, even with this result, we’ve no plans to rest on our laurels. We want to go onto make further improvements and continue ensuring they have a great experience.”

An anonymous review from a Tarmac employee added: “If you’re hardworking, motivated and take pride in what you do, you should consider Tarmac for your next career move. They recognise talent, recognise effort and results. Fantastic bunch of colleagues all with drive and ambition and who want to do a great job, safely.”
